a. High School Diploma or GED
b. Copy of Immunization Records
c. $50 application fee. This will be invoiced to you upon receipt of application.
This fee is applied towards your tuition cost. See Fee Policy in Course Coordinator Letter.

5. Click here to download the standard EMT Initial course required items and costs. These items are required in any EMT program throughout the state and are in addition to the tuition.
Application Phase 1 and 2
1. You will be receiving an email of acceptance into our program. Once you have been conditionally accepted into our program, you will be required to complete the
a. Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening process
b. Two step TB test
Note: These steps are very timely processes; we can’t do these steps too early before the start of class.
2. Upon completion of the above steps, you will receive an email of full acceptance.
Final Acceptance
You will receive an email of full acceptance into our program with instructions on how to pay for the course and other important information.
The LifeStart EMT Course
LifeStart Training & Consulting, LLC is offering their EMT course for college students and all other interested participants near the UT campus
The Emergency Medical Technician - (EMT) certification is the entry into the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) profession. With an EMT certification a person can work on an ambulance, in an EMS Dispatch center, Emergency Room, or Fire Department (with a fire certification), as well as many other opportunities.
This demanding 16-week course (11 week summer) is designed to provide everything you need to successfully pass the National Registry Exam and become certified as an EMT including all skills, clinical rotations and classroom hours.

This class is taught near the UT Campus (The HOFT Institute - just a few blocks west of campus) and is open to all applicants. (UT Students have priority enrollment). If you are planning on going to medical school, PA school, nursing school, or any other health profession, this course is essential to your core emergency medical foundation! We have been offering this course to UT and other college students for 8 years with phenomenal first-time pass rates and are now opening up to all of central Texas who wish to be a part of this opportunity. This course is open enrollment to the public.
There will be five clinical rotations. Students must have their own transportation for class and clinical rotations. Clinical rotations are planned for various locations to enhance the students’ educational experience utilizing their new skills and knowledge learned in the EMT course.
